The Vienna Migration Conference (VMC) is ICMPD’s flagship event and Europe’s leading forum for migration policy discussions. In October 2023, the conference brought together international leaders, practitioners, and experts to discuss vital themes in European and global migration policy.

The event featured 14 live sessions, engaging 39 panelists and 290 in-person attendees from 48 countries, alongside 1490 virtual participants. These discussions spanned various topics, including the future of work, migration partnerships, and critical evaluations of the EU’s migration reform initiatives. European Commission Vice-President Margaritis Schinas provided a keynote address, shedding light on Europe’s migration diplomacy and vision for the future.
