Mariana Betsa

Deputy Minister

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ukraine

Mariana Betsa has served as Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and President of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO since 2024. She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 2001 and has since held various positions in the Treaty and Legal Department, as well as diplomatic postings abroad. From 2005 to 2009, she served at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and from 2012 to 2015 at the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna. Betsa was the Ministry’s Spokesperson and Head of the Information Department from 2015 to 2018, and later Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia from 2018 to 2023.
