Catherine Imaji Udida nmi is Director of Migrants Affairs at the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), Nigeria’s coordinating agency for migration management, where she is responsible for facilitating migration policy development and implementation, coordinating migration governance, and ensuring effective participation of Nigeria in international migration fora. Udida is Nigeria’s representative to the Rabat Process, Khartoum Process, and Global Compact for Migration. She played a pivotal role in securing Nigeria’s seat on the Steering Committee of the Rabat Process and subsequent Chairmanship of the Rabat Process from 2025 to 2026. She represented Nigeria in various international postings, including the Nigeria High Commission in London, the Embassy of Nigeria in Lome (Togo) and Bern (Switzerland), and the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations in New York. She also served as the Head and Focal Point of the Programme on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) of the National Counter Terrorism Centre, Office of the National Security Adviser. Udida is a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, and an alumna of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Ghana.
